Proposed Repositioning of Vacant Warehouse to Deliver Red Hook’s Largest New Mixed-Income Housing in Decades

The partnership of Brooklyn-based design firm DRAW Brooklyn and Washington, D.C.-based development firm Four Points, LLC have submitted proposals to transform the vacant warehouse at 145 Wolcott Street in Brooklyn’s Red Hook neighborhood. If the project dubbed Model Block proceeds as proposed, the redeveloped mixed-use structure would comprise a 210-unit apartment complex, of which 61-units will be designated for affordable housing, 65,675 s/f of light manufacturing space and 74,325 s/f of commercial space. The project is expected to “create more than 337 jobs in an ecosystem of companies, including art manufacturing, restaurant, retail and office space.”
