First Phase of Mixed-Use Bronx Point Development Breaks Ground

Groundbreaking of Phase One of the 22-story, 530,000-square-foot Bronx Point development at 50 East 150th Street took place on May 23rd, launching construction of the Universal Hip Hop Museum, 542 affordable housing units, 2.8 acres of public open space, and a mix of community facilities. Upon full completion of the second phase of construction, Bronx Point will add around 1,045 housing units, more than 56,000 square feet of educational and community space, and 12,000 square feet of retail space to the South Bronx area. L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects are the private entities leading the project’s development as part of a public-private partnership.
