REBNY Real Estate Broker Confidence Index Q1 2021
Findings from the Real Estate Board of New York survey responses by the organization’s residential and commercial brokerage members reveal a solid uptick in broker confidence as the city continues to gradually recover. The surveys, which are distributed quarterly, measure brokers’ present and six month forecasted confidence in New York City’s real estate market. After falling to an all-time low in the 3rd quarter of 2020, overall broker confidence in the 1st quarter of 2021 represented the second consecutive increase. Commercial broker confidence increased 9.6% quarter-over quarter and 75% year-over-year, while residential broker confidence increased more sharply by 32% quarter-over-quarter and 82% year-over-year.
