Harbor Group In Contract to Purchase the Black Rock Building for $760M

Media conglomerate ViacomCBS is selling the 38-story, 870,000-square-foot Black Rock, or also popularly known as the CBS Building, located at 51 West 52nd Street, where they currently have offices spread across one-third of the building. The pending sale/partial short-term leaseback to contract vendee Harbor Group International attracted a price of $760 million, or about $874 per square foot, representing a discount from the more than $1 billion ViacomCBS was seeking as of early 2020, prior to pulling the asset off the market shortly after the start of the pandemic.
