Bank of America Signs Triple-Net Lease for Entire Office Space at One Bryant Park
An agreement was reportedly made by Bank of Americal to lease the entire office component plus some retail space at One Bryant Park, 1111 Avenue of the Americas. The North Carolina-based financial institution already anchors the 51-story 2.44-square-foot tower in approximately 1.8 million square feet, as well as owning a stake through a joint venture with the Durst Organization. The 20-year deal will expand the bank’s footprint to 2.4 million square feet under a “triple-net agreement, meaning the tenant is responsible for property taxes, insurance and maintenance costs.” Bank of America reportedly plans to sublease some office space to other existing tenants. News of the agreement is part of the lender’s ongoing effort to create a campus around One Bryant Park, having previously secured leases for 315,000 square feet in 2017 at Two Bryant Park, 1100 Avenue of the Americas, and a 127,000-square-foot lease in 2018 at the Grace Building, 1114 Avenue of the Americas according to press at the time.
