Grocery Store to Replace Astor Place Kmart

The Kmart store located within 770 Broadway at Astor Place closed Sunday, July 11, 2021 “after a joint negotiation between landlord Vornado Realty Trust, Kmart’s parent Transformco, and an undisclosed new tenant, terminating the discount retail store’s long-term triple-net lease. A regional grocery store will be taking over the space located on a portion of the ground and basement level of the building.
