High-End Gastropub to Open in Grand Central Area

Owners of Upper East Side’s The Penrose restaurant and The Spaniard in the West Village have signed a 12-year lease for 7,500 square feet at the base of 140 East 41st Street. The new high-end gastropub called Albert’s will spread across the ground and mezzanine levels, with the rest below grade. Asking rent for the space formerly occupied by Public House until shuttering in December 2020 was $150 per square foot.
