Hudson’s Bay Launching SaksWork in Partnership with WeWork
Several Saks Fifth Avenue stores will be offering a coworking component beginning September 2021, with the launch by the luxury retailer’s owner Hudson’s Bay Co. News of SaksWorks comes at a time when retailer property owners are seeking creative repurposing of brick-and-mortar space as online shopping volume continues to increase. Coworking space operator WeWork is partnering with Hudson’s Bay to convert spaces for office use as well as operate the facilities under the SaksWorks brand. Locations within the metro area to debut the new concept include the Manhattan 5th Avenue flagship store and the former Saks men’s store in Brookfield Place.
