One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza In Contract at 50% Discount

Investor David Werner is reportedly expected to close in early 2026 on the $270 million purchase of One Dag Hammarskjöld Plaza, located at 885 Second Avenue. The building that spans the entire 2nd Avenue block-front between East 47th ant 48th Streets sold at roughly 50% of the approximately $566 million price paid in January 2019 by seller Rockpoint Group. Located near the United Nations, the 815,000-square-foot building has long been home to various consulates and permanent missions. In April, the Federal Republic of Germany signed a lease for entire floors 16 through 19 and a portion of the 20th floor extending through February 2038 an including a 5-year extension option and early cancellation option.
