One New York Plaza Finalizes Renewal Deal to Retain 400K-sf Anchor Tenant

Law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobsen will remain at One New York Plaza at least 10 more years. The law firm has maintained a presence in the Financial District since its founding in the late 1890s, and currently occupies 400,000 square feet in the Lower Manhattan building owned by Brookfield Properties. News of the signing delivers further signs of the gradual recovery of the city’s real estate market, representing the largest lease transaction in the Lower Manhattan since the start of the pandemic, as well as the largest 10-plus year deal in New York City this year.
