Senate Signs Off on President Biden’s $1.9 Trillion Coronavirus Relief Package
Early Friday morning the Senate approved President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package by a 51-to-50 vote, with Vice President Harris casting the tiebreaking vote. The House of Representatives, which approved its own relief package, is expected to act on the Senate’s version within a day. Final passage of the relief legislation that will provide stimulus payments up to $1,400 per person, with the possibility of people that qualify being narrowed to low-and moderate-income families, is not expected to be enacted into law until mid-March.
